A new eToken is NOT needed. The eToken used with the UserTrust certificate should work with the new certificate. Older eTokens may not work.

13400 South, Bangerter Highway to Mountain View Corridor

Riverton City and UDOT have selected Wadsworth Brothers Construction to reconstruct 13400 South between Bangerter Highway and Mountain View Corridor. The final result of this reconstruction will be:

- A wider roadway with three travel lanes in each direction
- A concrete driving surface
- Shoulders, curb and gutter
- Sidewalks
- A reconfigured intersection at 4150 West
- Improved street lighting and traffic signals
- Improved drainage conditions

Reconstruction activities began in mid-February and are expected to continue through late Summer of 2012*. Construction activities are expected to occur Monday through Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm. Residents, businesses and commuters can expect lane restrictions, reduced speeds, noise and vibration during this time.

* Construction schedules are subject to change due to equipment, material or weather delays.

Crews continue canal work on both the north and south sides of 13400 South. Surrounding businesses and residents can expect noise, vibration and other inconveniences associated with construction.

On Thursday, February 23, motorists can expect traffic on 13400 South to be shifted to the south side of the street between Bangerter Highway and Mountain View Corridor. This traffic shift is expected to remain in effect through May 2012.

The speed limit from Bangerter Highway to 5000 West has been reduced to 30 mph. Fines for speeding in the work zone will be doubled. Access to all businesses located along 13400 South will remain open throughout construction. Please use caution and slow down when traveling through the area. Please also be courteous by not blocking driveways when traffic is slow.

(NEW PROCEDURES) Obtain Certificate

UDOT is no longer using UserTrust as the Certification Authority (CA) because of circumstances beyond our control. All digital certificate users will have to obtain a new certificate from another CA. UDOT will be using IdenTrust for in-house use for digital certificates. All outside agencies, organizations, and individuals can use IdenTrust or another CA of their chosing.

UDOT highly suggests that all digital certificate users obtain a new certificate as soon as possible and not wait until their current one expires. Documents can still be signed or stamped with the old UserTrust certificate, but will show an not valid because the UserTrust server is not available to automatically authenticate the certificate.

This DOES NOT apply to Contractors submitting a bid on a project. Digital signatures are not currently required for that process.

UDOT plans to conduct artillery firing in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Sunday, February 19, 2012. A backcountry closure is in effect on all areas north of the canyon road from Closure Gate B to Closure Gate D from 5:00 am until 3:00 p.m. on February 19, 2012.

Bangerter Highway at 13400 South, CFI

UDOT is proposing to make roadway improvements to address current and future congestion, traffic delays, and resulting safety problems at the intersection of Bangerter Highway and 13400 South. A Draft Categorical Exclusion (CE) has been prepared which assess the project’s effects on the quality of human health and the environment in accordance with the provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. I-15 Utah County Corridor Expansion

December 2012 - Scheduled Phase 2 Completion (Pleasant Grove to Spanish Fork)

Project Overview: I-15 CORE expands the freeway by two lanes in both directions from Lehi Main Street to Spanish Fork Main Street; extends the express lane from University Parkway in Orem to Spanish Fork; rebuilds and reconfigures 10 freeway interchanges; replaces and restores 55 bridges; and provides additional improvements that will meet or exceed travel demands through the year 2030 including using 40-year concrete pavement along the entire corridor.

I-15 CORE is needed to alleviate traffic congestion, support economic development, increase safety and accommodate additional population growth. Since 2000, Utah County has been among the top 10 fastest -growing counties in the state. The Governor's Office of Planning and Budget estimates this growth trend will likely continue into 2060.
