The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has identified a preferred alternative solution to enhance mobility for all users along 1600 North in Orem and Lindon. Residents and business owners and operators are invited to attend public meetings and review the analysis regarding the State Environmental Study (SES) for widening 1600 North between 1200 West and State Street in Orem. The public is invited to attend either or both an online meeting and in-person public hearing on the following dates:

Online Meeting:
December 13, 6 – 7 p.m.
Held via Zoom, attendees should register in advance on the project website at:
udotinput.utah.gov/1600North

In-Person Public Hearing:
December 14, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Northridge Elementary School
1660 North 50 East, Orem, Utah 84057

Information presented will be the same for both meetings. The state-level environmental study identified a Preferred Alternative to widen 1600 North to the south. At these meetings, the study team will provide information on the study team’s analysis process used to identify the Preferred Alternative, all environmental resources considered, anticipated impacts to properties and proposed steps to mitigate or minimize those affected properties. The team will also present the study schedule and be available to answer questions.

The public comment period opened December 6, 2022 and will continue through January 6, 2023. For details on how to comment or to review public hearing materials visit udotinput.utah.gov/1600North or contact the study team at 1600North@utah.gov and 385-203-9566.
