DESIGN STANDARDS & PROCESSES

Anytime a raised median project is being considered, it is essential that the appropriate roadway jurisdiction's (federal, state, local or other) standards and processes be considered and followed.

State and local agencies are responsible to manage projects in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) oversees all projects on state highways and/or where federal funds are involved. This is necessary to ensure adequate supervision and inspection so that projects are designed and completed in conformance with approved processes, standards, and specifications, including compliance with all federal requirements
