Westbound I-215 to close this weekend

Expect delays, as westbound I-215 will be closed to travel from 280 East to I-15

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises drivers to plan ahead as westbound I-215 will close this weekend in Murray at the 280 East exit (Exit 10) near Fashion Place Mall.

The ramp connecting northbound I-15 to westbound I-215 will also be closed Friday night for barrier work.

Starting on Friday, March 22, at 9 p.m., westbound I-215 will be closed in Murray between the 280 East exit and I-15 while crews remove the top layers of the 300 West bridge over I-215 for repairs. Westbound I-215 will fully reopen on Monday, March 25, in time for the morning commute.

All westbound I-215 traffic will be detoured northbound at 280 East to 5300 South. Drivers can then take I-15 southbound to return to I-215 westbound. Detour signs will be posted (see detour map below).

Also on Friday night, the northbound I-15 ramp heading towards westbound I-215 will be closed for maintenance starting on Friday, March 22 at 9 p.m. through Saturday, March 23, in the afternoon.

On the other side of the I-215 belt, eastbound I-215 will be down to one lane between the 4700 S and Redwood Road exits while crews repair potholes.
