Flagger Course
Flagger personnel must be properly trained and certified prior to performing this function within a work zone. A detailed Flagger Training Handbook is provided below. This handbook outlines the flagging procedures to be followed and identifies responsibilities to achieve the desired end result – safer work zones with minimal impact on the traveling public.
How do I become a certified flagger in Utah?
UDOT does not provide flagger training courses directly, these courses are offered by professional organizations in Utah. Please click the Flagger Course Instructors list above to register for a course. In order to perform flagging operations at work sites you must take an official course from a certified flagger instructor.
